Dermaplaning – Refined Facial Shaving

OK - So maybe Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor weren’t formally Dermaplaning, but they knew that regular exfoliation and soft hair removal from facial shaving were keys to beautiful, healthy and youthful-looking skin.

DermaplaningOK – So maybe Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor weren’t formally Dermaplaning, but they knew that regular exfoliation and soft hair removal from facial shaving were keys to beautiful, healthy and youthful-looking skin.

Today, Dermaplaning isn’t a “Hollywood Secret,” but a regimen that growing numbers of skin-conscious women are incorporating into their health & beauty routines – and doing so from the convenient and comfortable confines of their own qualified salons.

When performed by a trained esthetician (with a surgical scalpel), Dermaplaning is a simple, safe and deep exfoliation procedure that gently removes dead skin, vellus hair (“peach fuzz”) and all of the freeloading dirt and oil that hunkers down within.  And removing that layer of old dermis stimulates cellular turnover, so skin is literally younger.

With those barriers removed, your skin can more effectively absorb the good-stuff, so you get maximum benefits from cosmetic and skincare products.

Dermaplane results are immediately apparent (and sometimes spectacular!), there’s zero downtime after the process and any residual redness should be mild and fade quickly.  And that ugly rumor that vellus hair re-grows dark and course is completely false. Vellus hair does regrow, but in its prior form: soft and light and excited for its next Dermaplane!
