Microneedling is a nonsurgical, minimally invasive procedure that’s used to treat a variety of skin conditions: scarring, burns, enlarged pores, wrinkles and stretch marks just to name a few.  Also known as collagen induction therapy, Microneedling is performed using an electric pen-like instrument. With tiny needles that make precise, microscopic punctures in the skin. These “micro-injuries” stimulate the skin to repair itself naturally through a process called dermal remodeling. This process starts with inflammation, which encourages the skin to produce new collagen, which promotes tight, smooth and youthful looking skin. As we age, collagen levels in the skin decline and new collagen can be produced when the skin is in repair mode.

Microneedling

Microneedling with PRP

Platelet Rich Plasma, commonly referred to as PRP, harnesses and utilizes the power of your blood’s own tools – platelets, which contain high levels of growth factors. These growth factors will stimulate activation of healthy skin cells, new collagen formation (neocollagenesis) and elastin. When combined with Microneedling, PRP is able to reach further into the deep layers of your skin to stimulate collagen and elastin, which results in a total facial rejuvenation.

RF Microneedling

RF Microneedling combines the traditional microneedling treatment with radio frequency heat energy to penetrate deeper, tighten skin, help scar remodeling, and treat texture even more effectively.

At Grand Salon & MedSpa, we use Vivace RF Microneedling plus UltraVision – the only USA-manufactured, FDA-cleared device to do what’s called “skin mapping” before the treatment. Using ultrasound technology, our skilled estheticians use the UltraVision machine to generate an image of the treatment area to create a personalized plan, precisely mapping the safest depth of treatment.

Platelet Rich Fibrin: injectable collagen stimulator

Platelet Rich Fibrin, or PRF, injections help stimulate healing.  Autologous (blood) is  obtained from an individual and then re-injected back into the body.  It is used for collagen stimulation and volume loss and reduces fine lines and wrinkles.  PRF firms the skin and improves the skin’s quality.
