WELCOME TO GRAND ACADEMY
Forget the mannequin heads and classroom lectures, and consider a different path to your career in the beauty industry. Grand Academy is Denver’s Registered Apprenticeship program (RAP) — a state and federally-recognized track to your Colorado cosmetology license, built entirely inside a real, working, high-end salon and MedSpa. You’ll learn from the same top-earning stylists our guests book months in advance, on real guests, in real time. No debt. No dead time. Just a paycheck from day one and a license that comes with hands-on experience when you walk out with it.

Traditional cosmetology school has its place, we’re not denying that! But here’s the math nobody hands you at orientation: a full 1500-hour program in Denver runs up to $19,500 in tuition alone, plus another $2200-$2750 out of pocket for your tool kit. All in, you’re looking at up to $22,000, usually financed with a student loan that starts collecting interest before you’ve even done your first balayage on a paying guest.
Our Registered Apprenticeship flips that model upside down. You’re hired. You earn an hourly wage while you train. And every hour you log working inside the salon counts toward the exact same license as the traditional route.
Grand Academy is $18,500 all-in (and we mean all-in). Every tool, every textbook, full access to our online education portal, endless learning resources, no surprise kit fees, no fine print. A one-time non refundable deposit of $2000 gets you started, and from there we offer flexible payment plans across the 12-month program. You pay as you go, while your grow.
WHAT YOU’RE ACTUALLY LEARNING
Textbooks matter. You’ll still master the science, the theory, and everything you need to walk confidently into your State Board exams, written and practical. But the real education happens on the salon floor next to an educator stylist who’s actively building a six-figure clientele in the chair beside yours.
If a technique is trending today, you’re learning it today, not two years from now in a $400 advanced class you have to track down after graduation. Balayage, modern extension methods, color corrections, men’s cuts, the business and social media side of building a successful career in Denver – it’s all part of the everyday rhythm at Grand, not an elective.
You’ll rotate through the same structured growth path our associates and stylists have used for years: building foundation skills, shadowing and assisting on real guests, developing your artistic eye and consultation instincts, and gradually stepping into services of your own, all while tracking your progress with your educators and setting your own goals along the way.
