Color Blocking
For the bold and fearless, color blocking is all about statement hair. Two (or more) colors are placed in large sections for major contrast. We’ve seen dramatic color blocking like stripes of dark and platinum blonde, or more subtle contrast with lighter shades. Either way, color blocking is a strong color choice for fabulous hair. This look can be a little more high maintenance, requiring more frequent visits to the salon to keep it looking fresh.
Pro-tip for color blocking: Use cold water in the shower. Cold water helps prevent color fading and color transfer, so the cooler you can stand it, the better.

Pro-tip for warm blondes: Schedule a toner for 6 weeks after your blonding service. A toner is a pigmented gloss that helps keep your color looking perfect. It’s a great refresh for in-between your bigger color appointments.

A gloss can also help tone down a stark root, or the line of outgrowth from previously colored hair. Pro-tip for gray blending: Similar to blondes, a toner between services can help keep the gray blended and your outgrowth less noticeable. Come in every 6 weeks for a cool-toned gloss.

Dimensional Brunette

Pro-tip for brunettes: If you’re a daily shampooer, try to wash your hair less frequently. Shampooing often fades color faster, and brunettes have a lot of deep warmth that can be exposed over time as color fades. The less you shampoo, the longer the color lasts.

Bronde

We are loving this versatile color that is sweeping the internet and our color books alike.
Pro-tip: If you’re transitioning from an all-over blonde to something more low-maintenance like Bronde, ask your stylist if a root melt might be right for you! A root melt is a gloss applied at the roots and painted down to create a darker “shadow” base, while keeping ends lighter.
