You may have heard of traditional microneedling – or even tried it out yourself! Microneedling is a service that utilizes tiny, sterilized needles that puncture the skin, creating micro-wounds that stimulate the body’s natural healing response. The body responds to this controlled injury by creating new, collagen-rich tissue to help smooth fine lines and wrinkles, minimize acne scarring and other mild texture, even skin tone and make skin feel firmer and more toned.Â
We love microneedling at Grand MedSpa because it is an effective and minimally-invasive treatment to help reach your skin goals. However, we’re about to love it a lot more because we are introducing RF (Radio Frequency) Microneedling with the Vivace Ultra (pronounced vih-vah-chee). The Vivace Microneedle RF machine combines microneedling and radiofrequency into a single treatment for superior results.
This is microneedling 2.0, better yet 3.0, because the technology will allow our skilled medical estheticians to treat your skin at a custom depth and precision for the safest and most effective service.

The first new step with RF Microneedling is called Skin Mapping. Our estheticians apply a gel to your skin and, using the Vivace Ultra ‘Vision Handpiece’ ultrasound technology, will virtually map the layers of your skin to select custom settings specific to your skin thickness and structure.
A numbing cream is applied to the skin for 30-40 minutes so the treatment is painless. Once the treatment begins, your esthetician uses the RF Microneedle device to insert tiny gold-plated needles into the skin. Vivace Ultra then allows radio frequency waves to flow through the needles into the skin, stimulating speedy recovery with tightening and lifting effects.
