5-Star Certified from the City & County of Denver!

UPDATE 3/3/21:

On February 16th 2021, Grand Salon & MedSpa was awarded our 5 Star Certification from the City & County of Denver.

What’s the 5 Star Certification Program you ask?

It’s a formal testament to the efforts our entire staff makes every single day (and has made for the last 10 months) to create the safest environment possible for our employees and our guests.  Grand Salon & MedSpa is one of only 15 businesses in the Personal Services category that is 5 Star Certified.

“The Denver 5 Star Certification Program allows certified businesses to increase their capacity by implementing safety measures beyond what is already required by public health orders and guidelines to slow the spread of COVID-19. This program supports responsible businesses who are going above and beyond to prioritize the health and safety of their staff and customers. Business sectors eligible to apply for Denver’s 5 Star Certification Program are categorized as general business, personal services, indoor events, restaurants, and gyms.”

From May 2020:

COVID-19 Safety Information:

With Colorado Stay-At-Home orders shifting to Safer-At-Home guidelines, Grand will re-open next Friday, but with the safety of our employees and guests as our top priority.

We’ll be implementing split shifts, extending our hours (earlier & later), maintaining social distancing, minimizing touch-surfaces, limiting capacity and sanitizing continuously – among many other efforts.

It won’t be business as usual – and many of these changes will be a bit inconvenient.  But – as we know all too well by now — we’re all in this together!

We’ve temporarily disabled our online booking system (as these times call for a more-nuanced and personal service). Our Guest Relations team is now scheduling appointments for the Salon and MedSpa and working tirelessly to coordinate guest and service provider schedules.

What To Expect

  • UPON ARRIVAL: We ask that you wait in your car and call us when you arrive.  A staff member will visit your car, take your temperature and confirm that you have a mask.  Then our front desk will text or call you to welcome you inside when your service provider is ready to begin your service.
  • Our staff has committed to staying home if they feel ill in any way, and we ask that of our guests as well. We will waive cancellation fees for anyone who does not feel well at their appointment time.
  • We have split our staff into two shifts per day and extended our hours (opening earlier and closing later) to minimize the number of people in our space at one time.
  • Online booking will resume when we have finalized schedules.
  • We will be following guidelines for 6-foot physical distancing at all times — except, of course, when a service provider is working directly with a guest.
  • Only scheduled guests will be able to enter the salon, and only at the time of their appointments. We will not accept walk-ins, and we ask that you please not bring anyone with you to your appointment.
  • All staff will wear masks inside the salon and we ask that you do as well. Please bring your own mask or face covering; we will have a small supply for those who forget. (Yes, this is gonna be interesting.) **Preferably masks that loop behind the ears.
  • We will disinfect seating prior to each use, and will follow strict sanitation protocols throughout the entire day.
  • We will no longer accept cash and will offer various ways for electronic and credit card payments.
  • We will be removing as many touch points as possible as a precaution. Our retail area will remain open, but please only touch what you will be taking with you.
  •  We have removed our magazines, so feel free to bring something to read if you like.
  •  We will be offering beverages in disposable cups.
  •  We will have plenty of disinfectant and hand sanitizer on hand!

For those who aren’t ready to return, we continue to offer virtual skincare and hair consultations and take-home facials and color kits that you can pick up curbside. We are also happy to coordinate retail sales for curbside pickup as well.

Thank you for supporting us during our closure, and for your patience as we shift to a new style of operations to ensure everyone’s safety.  Stay healthy and let’s get ready to have some fun together again!

As always, you can reach us by phone (303-572-1435) or email (info@grand-salon.com) during this final week of our closure. For frequent updates on our COVID-19 Safety Information, please follow us on social media @grandsalondenver.
